Everyone Has A Role
THE SAFE FAMILIES MOVEMENT is centered around the power of relationships to stabilize and strengthen families facing difficult circumstances. We believe that when parents feel supported and surrounded by family-like relationships, children can thrive better in the home.
That’s why Safe Families for Children was started! We aim to transform how families are supported when facing challenging and crisis situations by establishing a dedicated network of relationships, grounded in our core values of radical hospitality, disruptive generosity, and intentional compassion.
Our Movement Model
1. We seek to reframe the child welfare system (not just helping a handful of parents) by befriending parents and keep kids safe with their families before the need of foster care.
2. We seek to mobilize entire communities, especially faith communities. to live out the values of radical hospitality, disruptive generosity, and intentional compassion. Our goal is to make the safey of children and the support of parents a community-wide responsibility. Child welfare will never have the capacity to achieve this by themselves.
3. We are free from the constraints of money by being a volunteer-led driven and professionally support. Simply meaning, we can do more with better results.
We believe that family preservation should be a community responsibility, requiring everyone to be informed, involved, and invested in creating safe environments where children feel secure, valued, and thrive.
We aim to bring the church and community to work together to achieve a holestic approach to family preservation with prevention efforts being a priority. Safe Families for Children is uniquely positioned as an evidence-based and Family First approved model with a 98% family preservation rate.
