Prayer is the cornerstone of the Safe Families for Children movement. God is at the center of all that we do. It is through prayer and our relationship with God, that we discern His leading and will for our mission and service to keep children safe and families together.  The Bible emphasizes acts of service to the most vulnerable are acts of service to God. At Safe Families for Children, we believe that extending radical hospitality, disruptive generosity, and intentional compassion involves loving and serving our neighbors, especially the orphans, widows, and those who cannot repay us. Opening one’s home to those who are homeless, sharing resources with those in need, or offering support to those who are struggling is how we can reflect God’s character and love to the world.

“Then Jesus said to his host, “When you give a luncheon or dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, your relatives, or your rich neighbors; if you do, they may invite you back and so you will be repaid.  But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.” – Luke 14:12-14
